From a young age she always wanted to follow in the footsteps of her father, then later her sister, who both have careers in medical fields. Dr Raz studied for her undergraduate degree at SB University of Medical Sciences (Iran) and qualified as a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) 2008-2014. Dr Raz worked in both the national health service and private sectors. One year after her graduation she opened her own private practice and worked as principal dentist.
After three years of working in general dentistry, Dr Raz decided to pursue her keen interest in Endodontics (root canal therapy). Dr Raz completed 3-years Clinical MSc in Endodontics at The University of Manchester 2017-2020. While studying, She was also involved in teaching undergraduate students in Manchester dental hospital.
